By saying, ‘I take a piece of rope.’
I’ve done this before many audiences,
And no audience has ever said,
‘You don’t have a piece of rope.’
But the fact is I didn’t have a piece of rope.
Nor has anybody ever said,
‘Is it nylon, manila or cotton?’
Or, ‘What is its diameter?’
