The definition of a nucleus as defined for the symmetrical and tangential closest packing of equiradius spheres does “not apply to an asymmetrical or single-axis system, e.g. Hydrogen, where a nucleus may be encircled by action within a single plane and where the surround is generated by a single orbit.”
