Environment:
“The only real difference between Universe and environment is me. So I find that the environment is not, of course, things; they’re events. We find that the environment is really a pattern of events which occur and impinge on the individual from outside and from inside. Some of them occur very frequently–the infrequents usually in larger magnitude and the frequents of fairly low magnitude. Man is the focus of these impingements and you can’t stop any of them. . . . And so, comprehensively, geometrically, outwardly and inwardly, macrocosmically and microcosmically, I find that man is really in the middle.”
