The beatnik is the anti-body of Madison Avenue. The true artist seeks escape from the stalemated vacuum of the two. History tells us that they will probably be successful. The probability is that the artists will win enjoyment of our whole earth by all the world’s people-- with complete emancipation of man’s innate freshness and regenerative conceptioning.”
